I didn't finish my Medusa cosplay for Izumicon. I still have the faux pearl beading to do. Doesn't sound like much when I put it that way, but that's 100 feet of pre-strung beads which will be hand sewn onto the fabric in different patterns. I will be working on it and finish it up for a photoshoot. I don't know how quickly that will happen with the holidays coming up. Once it is done, I will be wearing it to cons next year (A-Kon, Tokyo In Tulsa, and maybe Izumicon).

I did have lots of fun at the con. I met some cool people. Including a Komui and Allen Walker (D-Gray Man) cosplayers and a group of Organization 13 cosplayers. Even though I'm shy, I was able to open up and talk to them.

My digital camera sucked indoors, but Photoshop does a great job fixing that. I will be posting pics under the tag Izumicon and the characters names.

I was a bit disappointed in Izumicon. There were good points: lots of panels, places to eat and shop close by, fun people to meet, and guy candy.

The con schedule was not user friendly. It was printed in sections, but the sections had no headings, so they all ran into each other. Later, I saw a schedule at the registration table that had the rooms and the times of events in visual blocks for each room. Having events in chronological order so that I could easily make a choice between events happening at the same time would have been nice. (I heard several con organizers had swine flu, but they could have at least put section headings or organized the events by Day before sending it to the printers).

Also, the rave didn't have any water available at it. I had to exit the rave often to get more water at the water fountain. I heard that a mess happened with the water last year. Still, having big gatorade things of water with cups and huge trashcans available would have been nice. A wet dry vac could be used to clean up any mess on the floor post rave.

Whoever was managing con e-mails didn't respond to the ones several people I know sent. Also, the website wasn't updated for a long time and there were dead links on the website.

Will I be going back? It depends. There are some people I met at this con that I would like to see again.
